Becky served for a total 7 years and has been home with her family for the last two years. Becky has been married to Nick for 8 years and they have two daughters together (4 & 6 years old). Becky met her husband while deployed. Nick sought discharge from the Army after the couple’s oldest child was born. He currently works for the state Parks and Recreation department as a director. Although Becky took temporary leave from the army while she was pregnant, she returned to Afghanistan soon after the birth of her children. Becky reports that she would have stayed in the Army “for my whole career if it was up to me.” Becky was sexually assaulted by a fellow commanding officer during her last tour.

Becky is the youngest of 6 children and was born into a “military family.” As a child, Becky reports she and her family moved frequently. She reports that she has a “4.0 grade point average” but is struggling with her ability to concentrate in school and complete her homework. Becky works part time as an in-home caregiver.
