What is the rainfall project mission and how do you achieve it?

The rainfall project is one of the strategic projects to enhance groundwater resources. It has been through the injection of clouds with ions using ion-emitting precipitation stations located in the high mountain peaks.

Do you identify the project stakeholders? If yes, please list them.

Yes, because of the work we are doing on the project, we are identifying some stakeholders.

How flexible is your project organization in terms of restructuring the organization structure, tasks and roles?

We were very flexible in executing and scheduling the works, due to it being a unique pilot project, and also due to climatic and logistical factors

Do you maintain relationships with stakeholders of the Oman rainfall enhancement project? & How is it done?

Yes, everyone has an important role in the project.

Do you determine and assess the power of stakeholders? (capacity to influence the actions of other stakeholders) If yes, please explain how is it done?

Yes, they do not have any role in the management of the project, but they do influence the project management. Stakeholders influences the decision making process. The major task of the management is to build relationships and to develop a framework for partnership

How do you determine and assess the urgency of stakeholders? (degree to which stakeholders’ claims requires immediate attention)

A third attribute for identifying stakeholders is therefore to look for those for whom understanding and/or acting on the problem is urgent in the Omani rainfall enhancement project.

Do you determine and assess the legitimacy of stakeholders? (perceived validity of claims). If yes, please explain how is it done?

Yes, an obvious basis of legitimacy is that some relationship exists between the Oman rainfall enhancement and the stakeholder, such as exchange transactions or joint participation in value creation. The project management may be significantly responsible for a stakeholder’s well-being. A moral claim also constitutes legitimacy. Through communication and planning for the completion of the project at various stages, taking into account the time in implementation.

How do you determine and assess the proximity (level of association or closeness with the project) of stakeholders?

By Identify the project stakeholders and understand their key.

How are stakeholders classified according to their attributes/characteristics (power, legitimacy, urgency, proximity, level of interest, etc.)?

Through evaluation and how the work is done for each stakeholder. Also by applying and modifying the stakeholder salience model from management studies, we analyse which factors influence project managers in their environmental decision-making and which priorities they give to competing stakeholder claims.

Do you predict and map stakeholders’ behaviors (supportive, opposition, neutral, etc.)? How is it done?

Yes, by having a dialogue with them and knowing the need. Predict stakeholder behavior in Oman rainfall project — Mapping stakeholders can be seen as the central part of the stakeholder analysis, because it creates an insight into the different essential parameters and enables one to compare them. This creates a tool that can be used to determine the level of support, predict behaviours and shape an engagement plan.

Do you predict stakeholders’ potential influence on each other? How do you do it?

Yes, the project management work out how they will communicate with each stakeholder. The importance of stakeholders when considering change

Do you predict stakeholders’ potential influence on the project? How do you

do it?

Yes, By gathering and reviewing Oman rainfall project requirements with stakeholders, i will get their “buy-in,” which will in turn help increase project success

Are possible conflicts and coalitions among stakeholders identified, analyzed and managed?

Do you see any change evolving in interest of stakeholders? How do you manage it?

Yes, through meeting and dialogue with stakeholders.

Do you see any change in relationship between stakeholders? How do you manage it?

Yes. By clearly, communicate your project scope and Meet up with stakeholders who are resistant to change. We always engage in dialogue and debate on various things related to the project.

Are project management decisions effects on stakeholders? Can you give some examples here?

Yes, as a supervisor of some workers from different sides.

Does Oman rainfall enhancement project focus on timely completion of project? And how do you do it?

Yes, of course, due to the association with the weather and the project’s analytical studies

Do you focus on cost savings on the project? And how do you do it?

Yes, Work on planning and implementation to complete the project at the lowest costs without affecting the progress of work and success in implementing the project according to expectations.

How do you maintain acceptable quality standards? And how do you do it?

By working with high quality, careful analysis of information and continuous work evaluation.

You will be required to provide evidence of achievement for each learning outcome within your assignment.

What is a reflective writing and why is it important?

Reflective writing can help you think critically about experiences from your nursing practice. Reflective writing benefits from using an appropriate reflective cycle to structure how write about a scenario/situation and will help you consider in-depth what you learnt from the experience.

Reflection consists of thinking critically about an experience and learning from it by:

Outlining a scenario/situation that you have experienced from placement.

Processing the significant features and identifying the need for new learning.

Finding new solutions to dilemmas.

Using the process as a tool to identify what you learned from the experience and help you develop future practice by considering what you would do next time the situation arose.

Reflective writing is important because it:

Helps you keep a record for the future on how you felt about an experience before, during and after the event.

Provides a way of continually develop your critical thinking and writing skills

Allows you to relate your experiences to the perspectives of others

Enables you to develop analytic abilities and evaluative judgement that can enhance employability.

Evidence of Achievement of Learning Outcomes

Your assignment requires to be written in an academic style at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 9. Guidance about this level of academic writing can be found on the SCQF website (see Level Descriptors section).

Student services and the library also provide support around academic writing.

Academic Evidence

You must produce academic evidence within your summative assessment of your achievement of the learning outcomes for this module. This should include references of nursing and health related books and journals along with reports, publications and websites from high quality, reliable sources.

Completing your Assignment

Biology HL Investigating the effects consumptions of energy drink has on reaction

Writing Assignment Help Biology HL

Investigating the effects consumptions of energy drink has on reaction time

Personal significance:

My daily life as an IB student requires me to have energy and be well rested for me to perform in the different areas of my life. Both in social circumstances and in school. This energy and well rest does not always come hand in hand with the many life tasks imposed, and thus “energy substitutions” such as caffeine is often used as a replacement for the recommended 8 hours of sleep. In my social circumstances through the years, I have noticed an increase in the amount of energy drink consumed by my peers and friends. It was not until I was introduced to how humans respond to certain ingredients in biology that I got aware of the possible benefits of energy drink. Thus, I was curious about if the energy drink does influence our ability to perform. The purpose of my investigation is to disclose if there is a contribution benefit of energy drink on performance.

Research question:

How does consumption of energy drink influence the reaction time? Not focused – not detailed enough

Reaction time:

Reaction time is a measure of how fast an organism responds to a given stimulus. (1)

There are studies where different factors such as ex. age, music and distractions have shown to have a significant influence on the reaction time. Reaction time can be measured in several different ways. “Simple reaction time” experiments are where there is only one stimulus leading to only one response.

Information flow within an organism can be shown through these two models:

Stimulus ® Receptor ® Integrator ® Effector ® Respond

Stimulus ® Sensory Neuron ® Spinal cord or brain ® Motor Neuron ® Respond

Energy drink:

Energy drink (ED) is a type of beverage containing high amounts of stimulant ingredients. Typically, these ingredients are high amounts of caffeine, Taurine and Vitamins. ED is promoted as a supplement meant to enhance physical and mental abilities within humans.

Energy drinks influence on Reaction time:

If the consumption of energy drink is increased, then the reaction time will also increase. This is because energy drink contains high amounts of Taurine and caffeine. Taurine enchases ? nerve transmitters, meaning that movements will be detected faster, so the higher amount of Taurine and caffeine, the faster the rate of reaction time. Caffeine…….?

3 identical consummations Can you explain it with other words? It is a bit unclear how you mean of energy drink will be used to see how the reaction time in youths’ changes. The difference in reaction time will be measured by a reaction time tester, which is an indication calculating the average of reaction time after, before and after each consumption. Confusing sentence It is expected that the rate of reaction time has increased. To investigate the influence of energy drink on reaction time, 4 cans of Monster energy drink and 4 Not 12?youths aged 16-18 were used. To monitor the reaction time under the influence of energy drink, the reaction time was measured for each consumption over a time period of 30 minutes.

The aim of this investigation is to examine the effect consumption of energy drink has on youths aged 16-18 reaction time.

Alternative hypothesis: There is a significant difference in reaction time when under the influence of energy drink consumption.

Null hypothesis: There is no significant difference in reaction time when under the influence of energy drink consumption.

Type of energy drink

The same energy drink was used in on every participant in order to get a fair evaluation of the reaction.

Safety and precautions:

Ethical considerations regarding this experiment which could be? were handled through distribution of a consent form to each participant beforehand. The consent form stated what the experiment would be of importance to, and how the participant would play a role. The participant was allowed to end the experiment at any time, which would leave their participation discarded.

Measured 166 mL of monster energy drink by the help of a 50 mL measuring cup.

Poured the same measured amount of energy drink into 4 identical plastic cups.

Participants took a reaction time test, before being under the influence by the independent variable.

First consumption of energy drink.

Waited 10 minutes before the participants were asked to take a new reaction time test, this time under the influence of energy drink.

Repeated the procedure 3 times (waited 10 minutes for the ingredients of the ED to be absorbed in the blood stream).

You need to explain more about the reaction test. What do they do? How often? How do they respond. Sound? Visual? Etc. Etc.

The start and end rate of energy drink across all twelve trials 12? is included below. In order to analyze the results, the difference between the start and end (for each trial group Not each person?) is calculated for each of the four trials. Calculating the average of change in reaction time for each trial group was imperative use another word in order to demonstrate the difference in results of energy drink consumption. The standard deviation yes, what about it?. In order to concretely determine whether the results of the different reaction times were statistically significant, a T-test was conducted.

Table 2. Showing the difference in reaction time before and after consumption of energy drink.

Start (0 cups) (+12ms)

End (4 cups) (+12ms)

Standard deviation

Example of calculation for the difference: End – Start = difference, ex. 341-282=59 (ms). Therefore, the difference between the reaction time without energy drink and after the 3rd cup of participant 1 is 59ms faster.

Example of calculation of the average:

Formula of calculation for Standard deviation:

Graph 1. Average reaction time under the influence of Graphs should only be displayed for processed data like means with error bars for example. This one is unrelevant. See the pea-eperiment

The results from table 1 and 2 show that there is a small difference between the results before and after consumption of energy drink. The graph depicts that there is downward sloping trend in reaction time, meaning that for each cup of energy consumed the reaction time increases.

Qualitative analysis:

There were no significant changes in behavior of observed after the consumption of end Not complete sentense and how can you tell?

Statistical analysis:

A t-test was conducted to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between the reaction time of participant before and after consumed three cups of energy drink. A t-test is a type of inferential statistic used to determine whether there is a significant different between two means.

The t-test formula:

Calculation for Degrees of freedom: n1 + n2 – 2 = 12 + 12 – 2 = 20 Wrong calculated

Therefore, a critical T value of 2.086 was used for the significant level of 5% (p=0.05), deeming it was closer to the experiment’s sample size ???. The p value of 0.05 indicates that the difference is caused by chance is only 5%. The t-test results show that the t value for the difference in two set of data is 0.54 which is smaller than the critical value 2.086, the results are therefore not significantly different. The t-test showed that there is a possibility that the difference between reaction time with and without energy drink occurs due to chance is more than 5%. The t-test table is fully shown in Appendix 2.

The results showed that there was no significant difference between reaction time before consumption of energy drink and under influence of energy drink. This indicates that the null hypothesis, that predicted there would be no significant difference in reaction time when under the influence of energy drink consumption, is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected.

Table 4. Limitations and improvements of the investigation

Limitations and uncertainties

How it influences the result

How it can be improved

The experiment was done in groups of 4, and thus the performance of a contestant’s reaction time could have been influenced by another contestant.

Use another room explicitly meant for taking a reaction time test, where the participant can be alone.

There might not have been enough time for the energy drink to absorb in the blood stream to an extend where it would have an influence on the reaction time.

Conduct the experiment for at least an hour in order to get more accurate results.

Small sample size

The experiment was conducted on a relatively small sample, meaning that the variety was limited.

Perform the experiment on a bigger sample in order to achieve reliability.

Computer used as reaction timer

A laptop isn’t known to have the best of latency between trackpad click to screen interaction, meaning that the result can be inaccurate. But you used the same computer for all of them…

Use a manual reaction timer.

Table 5. Strengths of the investigation and the justification for the strengths

Controlled environment

As the experiment was performed in a secluded room, the variables were hindered compared to what they would be in a different environment.

Number of trials

The experiment was tested on 12 different people, 4 in each group. This allowed for a more accurate and dependable result.

Reaction time tester

The reaction time tester was taken online, developed by experts. In addition, the test calculated an average, meaning that the number of reaction time measured is more accurate.

This investigation was conducted in order to determine whether consumption of energy drink has an influence in youth’s reaction time. The research question, “How does consumption of energy drink influence the reaction time?”, was found by testing on a sample of 12 participants. The results from table. 1 showed that 58% of the participants had a shorter reaction time after every cup of energy drink. The participant without any energy drink has the average reaction time of 315ms, while after the 3rd consumption the average showed an increase of 10,5ms. Thus, there is a small difference between reaction time before and after consumption of energy drink. However, the results from the t-test indicates that there is no significant difference between the reaction time with and without energy drink. The tcalc (0,54) is smaller than the tcrit (2,086), thus, there is a possibility that the difference identified in the results occurred due to chance. Hence the null hypothesis is not rejected, and the results does not support the alternative hypothesis. There is no significant difference in reaction time when under the influence of energy drink consumption.

Although the results of this experiment do not show a statistically significant difference in reaction time, consumption of energy drink may have had an impact on other biological abilities. Examples of this can be an increase in heartbeat, due to the high amount of caffeine and taurine. (source)

Need to be more specified/detailed, not yet focused

Some wrong wordings and things to be more clear about. Too few controlled variables

Ok, but need to explain explicit about the reaction test

What are they? And consent document is not included as it should in the appendix

Ok, some fixing of titles needed, why don’t you do the average and directly on the raw data table? Unnecessary to show the raw data twice..

Ok, , but correctly interpretedminor mistake

Could be more effective

Several passage and sentences are hard to follow because of strange/wrong/lacking wording. A good tip could be to check the report concerning the language with some one that is extra good in English.
