Real World Option: Pulling
from your own ethos and credibility, write about a cause and/or effect
of something with which you have firsthand knowledge. For example, if
you are in the healthcare industry, you might be able to write a
paragraph to a patient about the cause and/or effects of diabetes,
alcoholism, or high blood pressure. If you are in a job in which the
proper/improper management of a project caused a positive or negative
result, you might write a paragraph to a superior about the causes
and/or effects of the management. You might also write a paragraph to a
superior about the causes and/or effects of an important decision that
was made in your work place. The bottom line is to choose your audience,
and then write about something with which you have firsthand experience
and credibility.
The
paragraph should be a well-developed paragraph, which means: you need a
topic sentence, supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence
(clincher). The paragraph should be unified and coherent with specific
supporting details or examples for support. It should provide sentence
variety (simple, compound, and complex sentences). The sentences should
be clear, concise, and arranged in a logical order. Transitional words
and phrases should be used to provide coherence. Choose one point of
view: first, second, or third person.
Below the paragraph, please
include a Rhetorical Plan i.e. audience, purpose, point, point of view,
tool of choice. Along with a ethos, logos and pathos.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU REQUIRE FURTHER INFORMATION. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
