ACID BASE BALANCE
Henry was admitted to the emergency room with the following symptoms a headache, nauseous, confused and extreme sleepiness. Labs were drawn and the following results were returned:Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) pH: 7.25 Pco2: 33 HCO3-: 15 mEq/LDownload the case study worksheet.Answer the following questions, including detail and appropriate explanations:o What is an ABG? Why or when is it usually performed? What are the normal values for the labs listed above?Describe the 3 systems in the body that work together to regulate pH.What type of acid/base imbalance is present in Henry? Is Henry’s body compensating? If so is it partially or fully compensated? Explain your reasoning.Explain how the compensatory mechanism is going to affect this imbalance. Relate your answer to the following equation: CO2 H20 ? H2CO3 ? HCO3- H What organ system is responsible for compensating in this case? What changes will be observable when the organ system compensates? Explain 3 common causes of this type of acid/base imbalance. Please be sure to validate your answers with citations and references in APA format. Please review the rubric to ensure that your assignment meets criteria.Estimated time to complete: 3 hoursNote: This assignment is submitted through TurnItIn. Please review the TurnItIn report. If the report is over the 20% threshold, please correct your document and re-submit by the due date. You will have two attempts for submission.[supanova_question]

The task
For this assessment, you will work individually to create a 3-minute video presentation to demonstrate your ability to analyse and visualise data and to communicate preliminary findings. Based on the skills and knowledge you’ve learned in the unit so far, you will locate your own data set, clean the data and perform a range of exploratory analyses of the data to communicate patterns and phenomena of interest that you observe. Your video will present both your exploration and decision-making around how to communicate the data visually, and explain how you’ve plotted the results and any interpretations/observations.
Minimum requirements
Each student must make a presentation (using software such as powerpoint) that contains no less than two slides and no more than five slides excluding the title slide. Any content after 5 slides will be ignored and will not count towards your grade.
Each presentation should contain at least two plots.
Each student must make a video of their presentation that is not longer than 3 minutes. Any content after 3 minutes will be ignored and will not count towards your grade.
Potential sources of data
A great source of data is available at Kaggle (Links to an external site.). To use data from Kaggle, you must register (Links to an external site.), all you require for this is an email account. Once you have signed in, click on Data. Then go to the search box and click on Filters and select csv and click Apply. This will restrict the search to data that can be opened using Excel. You can then search for data on any topic that you are interested in.
Another source of data is the UCI machine learning repository (Links to an external site.). To download a dataset simply click on the dataset and then click on Data Folder at the top of the page. Many of the data files have the extension .data but these can still be opened using Excel.[supanova_question]
