Customer Satisfaction through Quality Management
The main aim of better-quality management and its ultimate purpose is customer satisfaction. This article is critical that every employee in an organization needs to meet the management system’s high standards and goals. It emphasizes customer satisfaction as a firm’s main aim and discusses quality management as a basic tool. The market is competitive in a competitive world, and firms must work to offer the best for sustenance. Good companies aim and focus on their main output to offer customer satisfaction (Evans & Lindsay, 2017). Therefore, to have customer satisfaction as the firm’s competitive advantage, the companies go for quality management. Quality planning and improvement make the target marketable and for the firms to start working on them. For organizations to be different from another, constant top-quality management is inevitable. The services and products of a firm should have total quality management in control and assurance. Additionally, in case of changes in the surroundings, information related to product and customer is made aware by the top-quality management.
Total quality management (TQM) uses the available electronic service to offer and update the firm with information concerning any changes and needs for improvement. E-services offer information technology which is rather facilitated by management to serve its purpose of customer service. The service receiver and the provider must play their part to ensure the right services are channeled to customers (SADIK, 2018). Customer support and delivery are the main purposes of e-services which quality management should facilitate.
Focusing on the customer is process-centered so is TQM. Different teams are assigned to check on the process, input, and output. Firms that are process-centered focus on performance, with their results centered on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, an integrated system focusing on high-quality service is centered on one goal in their output, and that is the customer. The strategy focuses on the organization’s mission achievement and goals. A certain system followed by a firm assures the impression of a customer.
Moreover, working on these strategies will ensure continuous improvement. A firm focused on the customer is likely to improve from good to better. Also, decision making my management is a TQM principle that should be based on facts (SADIK, 2018). Such facts in the marketplace should be authentic. TQM aims at customer focus, leadership, and process management, make it the basic and most used method by manufacturers and improving service and product quality.
Reflecting on TQM, firms improve customer satisfaction and have an internal quality impact, hence growing the business if they focus on TQM in respective fields. One of the businesses’ outputs is customer satisfaction, and results would mean a great output. Moreover, the results are likely to improve the customer orientation of the organization. The results will be brought by concentrating on quality control, assurance, and high quality leading to quality management. In customer satisfaction and focus, effective communication plays an essential role. Employees get motivated with continued communication up to and down the management. Employees assist in providing the competitive edge, customer satisfaction, and improved productivity (Evans & Lindsay, 2017). Currently, e-services are widely used for quality management, making life easier for people. If a customer’s life is eased, they become loyal to that firm and get fully satisfied.

Over the past few years, the internet has been a significant propagator of sexual socialization in the United States. As young people get into the internet to look for commercially created sexual content, they also show off their sexuality by means of social media platforms. This they do to gain attention to themselves by releasing images and photographs that are flattering and sexually provocative (Manago et al., 2014). Studies have shown a relationship between Facebook and indices of objective body consciousness in young people. Objective body consciousness is a person being preoccupied with the appearance of their body in relation to that of others (Manago et al., 2014). According to Objectification Theory, a sociocultural environment that advocated for the female body being valued as an entertainment element made the women living in it constantly see themselves from an observer’s position. This made the women constantly engage themselves in monitoring their bodies to continually increase their value according to how society looked at them. However, objectified body consciousness has psychological repercussions, including body shame and anxiety, sexual dysfunction, and reduced awareness of internal bodily needs.
A study was undertaken to establish how objectified body consciousness related to the involvement in Facebook among of young people in the United States, including both genders in the study, and to push further previous research on this topic so that it also covers sexual health (Manago et al. 2014). Before the study began, it was speculated that both genders in the United States were vulnerable to adopting an objectified body consciousness after using social media. However, since the U.S. heterosexual cultural scripts gave the men active sexual roles and women gatekeeping sexual roles, it was speculated that the psychological health impact from the objectified body consciousness and social media would fall more on the women (Manago et al. 2014).
Social media sites, especially Facebook, stand out from major internet sites that propagate self-based assessment of personal appearance, Surveillance of the body, and internalization of what society deems to be the essentials of being attractive. Viewing photos of people of the same age on social media sites is one of the practices known to propagate objectified body consciousness. Most of the photos that circulate may seem to represent the ideal look for attractiveness. A downside to this is that many people tend to lose their esteem after viewing these photos as they feel like they look less attractive than the photos of peers they have seen on social media platforms. Apart from viewing peer photos, posting self-photographs is likely to parent objectification. As people do that, the comments that follow may either lower a person’s self-worth or increase the way they view themselves. This is because people prioritize their physical appearances, which normally invoke social attention and comments. Facebook is not the only site that propagates external self-perspective, but also Instagram and Twitter (Manago et al. 2014).
Objectification often carries with it repercussions, especially on mental and sexual health. One of these consequences is body shame. More so, the effect is higher on women than on men. The reason for this is that females are more scrutinized in their appearances compared to men. As a result, there are more women with objectified body consciousness and body shame than men. This has led to lower levels of sexual esteem among women.
From this current study, it was realized that as the young people continually and actively engaged themselves in Facebook as part of their social life, the likelihood of them engaging in body surveillance, fluctuating in terms of self–worth, and enjoying being considered sex objects increased. The more they got influenced by this objectification, the more they became vulnerable to body shame and hence lower sexual assertiveness (Manago et al., 2014). The study also realized that the objectified body consciousness and body shame that was commonly known to affect women mostly was also increasing in young men. The data from the study showed that body shame was fatal to sexual assertiveness, and it did not depend on which gender one was. Another finding was that those who felt like they lived up to societal standards of being attractive did not experience negative repercussions in their sexual health. These people were recorded to have high esteem and more sexual partners.

Each of the articles on the list provides a distinct perspective on appeasement, looking at its various dimensions and complexities. Your task will be to analyze an article for its perspective, content, evidence and style to determine a particular historian’s perspective or interpretation.
The purpose of an article review is to identify the author’s thesis and supporting arguments, along with providing a critique of the article.
Most articles follow a similar structure: (1) an introduction that sets the scene and a brief review of the relevant literature; (2) thesis statement–i.e., what it is trying to prove; (3) the argument and supporting information and evidence; and (4) conclusion. When reading an article, you can expect to read the article a minimum of two times. A good trick is to read the first couple of paragraphs, then skip to the conclusions to get a feel for the author’s argument. Then go back and read in detail, noting the main points and supporting information.
Your review should do the following:
Set the scene. Provide a context that will help the reader understand the main points of the article?
This could include information on the author, text (e.g., audience, etc.), the historical events at that time and/or historiography (what position does the text take within the study of history). Do not spend too much time on this section. The thesis, arguments, and critique are much more important.
Provide the author’s thesis. Some writers do not state a clear thesis; therefore, you may have to figure it out yourself and state it in your own words. Sometimes, there may be three or four main points, not just one.
What is the purpose in writing the article? (This is not the same as a thesis statement, but understanding the purpose of an article may help you to identify what the author is actually trying to argue.)
What is the article’s main contention or argument?
What is the main point that the author is trying to get across to his/her audience?
What are the author’s arguments, and what information/evidence and sources does he/she use to support that argument?
Do not just give a simple summary of the article (i.e., the article states a, b, c) but rather analyze the main arguments. Be sure to cite page numbers and/or quotations to support your statements.
Your critique: A critique is not whether you liked the article or not. Rather, you should assess whether the main point(s) is really significant? Does the author’s argument support the main point(s)? Is the evidence convincing? Are there wider ramifications to the conclusions? Does the author employ a particular paradigm (such as postmodernism) or a particular theory (such as ecological materialism)? Does the author commit any significant historical fallacies? (This may include the following: faulty causation, overstatement, illogical conclusions, improper use of evidence, lack of evidence, selectivity of facts or data, false analogies, moralism, excessive ideological bias, ambiguity, etc.)? Does he/she make good use of primary and secondary sources? Is his/her methodology appropriate for the historical questions he/she poses?
